Instructional Soccer - Location: Holmes Park

U4 - Play begins Saturday, March 20 - April 24; (9:00am- 9:45am) Participant must be 3 years old
This parent/child 6-week coed instructional program, is designed to create a organized and fun introduction to soccer by focusing on basic soccer skills. Expect this program to be filled with energy and imagination! *Parents please be prepared to participate during this program.
Minimum Requirement - 6 participants
(1 day a week; 6 weeks)
City residents - $40
Non-city residents - $50
U6 - Play begins Tuesdays, March 16 - May 4; (5:30pm-6:30pm) or Saturdays, March 20 - May 8; (9:00am -10:00am) Must be 4 or 5 years old

This 8-week coed instructional program, is designed to introduce the fundamentals of soccer. The first four weeks of the program will focus on developing basic skills – such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. During the last four weeks, the participants will play non-competitive games in addition to learning and practicing soccer fundamentals.
U8 - Recreation Soccer League
U8 (2 days week; 8 weeks)

U8: Play begins March 15 - May 6; Mon/Thurs (5:30-6:30 pm) Must be 6/7 years old
Minimum requirement - 16 participants, per division.
This 8-week coed recreational soccer program, held on Monday and Thursday evenings, is designed to develop and instruct 6- to 7-year-olds on the fundamentals of soccer through skill development, competition, and games. The first three weeks will consist of practices on Monday and Thursday. The remaining five weeks will be a combination of practices and games, held on either Monday or Thursday evenings.

8U Basketball
This 3-on-3 basketball league is designed to develop and instruct 6 - 10 year olds on the fundamentals of basketball. The purpose of this league is to provide an enjoyable recreational, yet competitive, experience for our participants. The 3-on-3 format is fun, fast-paced and beneficial for the individual development of players as it offers more opportunities for players to shoot/pass/dribble/defend. Also, this format allows players to better understand the concept and fundamentals of man-to-man defense.
8U Division Details:
- Thursdays and Saturdays
- December - practice on Thursday evenings, only
- January and February - practice on Thursday evenings and games on Saturday morning.
- Age Determination Date: September 1, 2020
- Players will participate in a division based on their age as of that day.
- Available to boys and girls ages 6-8 years old
- Gym Locations: Park Avenue Gym and West Greenville Community Center
- Goal Height - 8 Feet
- Ball Size - 27.5
10U Division Details:
- Available to boys and girls ages 9 and 10 years old
- Age Determination Date: September 1, 2020
- Players will participate in a division based on their age as of that day.
- Mondays and Saturdays
- December - practice on Monday evenings, only
- January and February - practice on Monday evenings and games on Saturday morning.

6U Instructional Basketball Program
(Ages 4- 6)

(N. Church Street and Sunflower Street)
This eight-week program meets at Park Avenue Gym on Tuesday evenings. The program focuses on instructing youth on the fundamentals of basketball. The first four weeks of the program focuses solely on basic skills, such as passing, dribbling and shooting. During the last four weeks, the participants continue to practice and learn fundamentals of the sport, but they also play non-competitive games.

Tee Ball (4-5 yr olds)
This 8-week Tee Ball program meets on Saturday mornings and teaches the participants the fundamentals of baseball. The participants hit off of a tee and also learn how to effectively throw and catch a baseball, run the bases and understand the concept of player placement on the field. The first four weeks of the program are devoted to practices, while the final four weeks are recreational games. The season concludes with a trophy presentation to each participant.

Coach Pitch Baseball (5-7 year-olds)
This 8-week program meets on Saturday mornings and teaches the participants the fundamentals of baseball. The participants hit from a coach's pitch and/or tee, if needed, and also learn how to effectively throw and catch a baseball, run the bases and understand the concept of player placement on the field. The first four weeks of this program is geared towards individual skill development and practice, while the remaining four weeks are devoted to recreational games. The season concludes with a trophy presentation to each participant.

10U Flag Football
Flag Football is a growing alternative to full contact football that teaches basic skills and concepts of the game. This 8-week coed recreational program, held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, is designed to develop and instruct 8, 9 and 10 year old. The first three weeks will consist of practices on Wednesday and Saturday. The remaining five weeks will be a combination of practices and games.
