Update on Fire at 122 Carolina Point Parkway

On Sunday, June 23, Greenville City Fire Department (GCFD) responded to a structure fire at 122 Carolina Point Parkway. Due to the scale of the incident, GCFD requested additional resources from the S.C. Law Enforcement Division (SLED), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and the Greenville Police Department. The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing; however, investigators have determined that the fire was not intentional.

While it took hours to fully extinguish the fire, the pre-fire survey that GCFD conducts on all buildings in the city aided crews’ efforts to prevent extensive damage to the building. The construction site has been secured and the City will continue to monitor it for safety.
