Open Carry with Training Act

The“Open Carry with Training Act” has gone into effect in South Carolina. Anyone with a valid Concealed Weapons Permit will be able to carry a concealable weapon openly or conceal their firearm. As a business owner, you have a right to ban open carry on your property if you post signage. If you feel uncomfortable asking a person with a gun to leave, you are welcome to call the Greenville Police Department for assistance. Printable signage can be found here.

Bank of America Fall for Greenville volunteer positions now open!

Bank of America Fall for Greenville will be held Friday, October 8 to Sunday, October 10. With this year being the 40th anniversary, it promises to be bigger and better than ever. Volunteer positions have been posted and can be accessed through the registration page.

New Event: One City Sound

One City Sound is a new City permitted event highlighting selected street performers and local musicians in One City Plaza. The event will be held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays in August and September from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. This was created to enhance the overall dining and shopping experience while shining a spotlight on local artists.

Downtown Merchant Association Meeting - Tuesday, August 17

The next Downtown Merchant Association meeting was held on Tuesday, August 17 at M Judson Booksellers. The City's Social Media Coordinator hosted a brief tutorial on how social media can be helpful to local businesses. Presentation

Homeless Services Resource Sheet

The City of Greenville and United Housing Connections have developed a Homeless Services Resource Sheet to assist downtown businesses. More Information

Street Performer Feedback Form

Street performer applications are available for the 2021-2022 season. Downtown businesses and visitors can now submit feedback on street performers in the Central Business District. If you would like more info on the City's street performer program, click here.
