Greenville Homelessness Task Force Meeting - Monday, September 13United House Connections (UHC) will host the September Greenville Homelessness Task Force meeting at Tate Plaza (next to Spill the Beans) on Monday, September 13. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. UHC would like downtown residents, business owners, and their staff to join and learn what the taskforce is doing to address homelessness in the Greenville community and how they can assist you!
The City of Greenville and UHC also have developed a Homeless Services Resource Sheet to assist downtown businesses. More Information

West End Small Area Plan UpdateThe West End Small Area Plan is a targeted vision for growth focused on the character of places within the district. The City of Greenville, with Urban Design Associates (UDA), conducted a planning process for Greenville’s West End, a neighborhood immediately next to Greenville’s Downtown and South Downtown. Open Carry with Training ActThe "Open Carry with Training Act” has gone into effect in South Carolina. Anyone with a valid Concealed Weapons Permit will be able to carry a concealable weapon openly or conceal their firearm. As a business owner, you have a right to ban open carry on your property if you post signage. If you feel uncomfortable asking a person with a gun to leave, you are welcome to call the Greenville Police Department for assistance. Printable signage can be found here.
