Downtown Merchant Association - Upcoming: Tuesday, June 14Mark your calendars to join us for the next Downtown Merchant Association meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, June 14 at 9 AM at M. Judson Booksellers. Lorain Crowl, CEO of United Housing Connections, and her outreach team will join us to provide updates about the outreach and initiatives taking place in Greenville to help those experiencing homelessness. We encourage you to invite a neighboring business located in the Central Business District to attend with you.

Sidewalk Closure on S. Main Street for Building Maintenance Exterior Specialists will be onsite for building maintenance at 32 S. Main Street until Friday, June 17. Crews will work on the façade facing Main Street until 11:00 a.m. then move to McBee Avenue for the remainder of the day. The road will remain open to vehicular traffic, but the sidewalk will be closed to pedestrian traffic in designated areas. Detour routes for pedestrians will be posted. A few parking spaces will be blocked for maintenance equipment during this time.

College-Buncombe Street Cultural Corridor FeedbackOn Monday, June 6, the City and HDR, the engineering firm hired by the City to redesign the road improvement project for the Cultural Corridor, held a stakeholder meeting to hear comments and answer questions about the project. Review some of the common questions received during the session.

Reduce Noise Pollution DowntownThe City is asking downtown visitors and residents to help reduce noise along Main Street by refraining from playing loud music, revving engines and alike. Violators of the city's noise ordinance will be subject to a maximum fine of $1,087. The noise ordinance signs will be displayed along Main Street, spanning from NOMA Square to the West End, to help bring awareness to the noise pollution campaign.

2022 More to Enjoy Sign ApplicationThe City of Greenville is continuing its More to Enjoy wayfinding program, which features newly-designed business directory signs at key Main Street intersections. The purpose of the program is to encourage downtown visitors to discover shops and restaurants located on side streets in the Central Business District by listing business names and providing directional arrows. The signs are designed to be eye-catching, while still incorporating seamlessly into the City’s overall downtown branding campaign.
Submit an application or apply for renewal by filling out the 2022 More to Enjoy application. Space on the signs are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. For questions or more information, please email Cameron Campbell at cjcampbell@greenvillesc.gov.

Free Weekend Trolley Service to Unity Park Available Greenlink is providing free trolley weekend service to Unity Park. Pick up is available at three locations downtown - the Transit Center on McBee, Richardson and W. North Street or Heritage Green. The service runs Friday from 4:00 - 11:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. For more information view the Unity Park Trolley Route map.
