Main Street Labs Innovation Hub Upfit Approved The Design Review Board (DRB) approved the upfit of Main Street Labs at 2 North Main Street. The City's new biotech hub will get an updated look to match the innovations already underway inside. The building already has its first innovation hub tenant. Last year Kiyatec, a biotech company creating life-saving solutions for cancer patients, moved into the space.
The Board voted 4-0 to approve the exterior renovation proposal. The DRB found Main Street Labs proposal aligned with the character of the area. The Board approved the proposal to break the existing continuous facade into three separate fronts, creating visual interest and a smaller scale to better fit with the surrounding buildings.

The purpose of the program is to encourage downtown visitors to discover shops and restaurants located on side streets in the Central Business District by listing business names and providing directional arrows. The signs are designed to be eye-catching while still incorporating seamlessly into the City’s overall downtown branding campaign.
Submit an application or apply for renewal by filling out the 2022 More to Enjoy application. Space on the signs are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. For questions or more information, please email Cameron Campbell at cjcampbell@greenvillesc.gov.
