City Prepares for Dangerously Cold Weather With dangerously cold temperatures in the forecast for the holiday weekend, the City of Greenville is asking residents to check on older or medically fragile loved ones and neighbors to make sure they are properly equipped. Freezing temperatures can be dangerous, especially for our most vulnerable citizens, so it is important to make sure the temperature of their homes is comfortable and that they are heating their homes safely.
If you are concerned about a neighbor or loved one over the long holiday weekend and would like for someone from the City to do a wellness check, please call the non-emergency dispatch number at 864-271-5333.
Additionally, the Greenville Police Department’s Community Care program is a wonderful resource for residents who need periodic contact to ensure their safety and security. Learn more about the program, eligibility requirements and how to register for this free program at https://www.greenvillesc.gov/590/Community-Care-Program .

2022 More to Enjoy Sign ApplicationThe City of Greenville is continuing its More to Enjoy wayfinding program, which features newly-designed business directory signs at key Main Street intersections. The purpose of the program is to encourage downtown visitors to discover shops and restaurants located on side streets in the Central Business District by listing business names and providing directional arrows. The signs are designed to be eye-catching while still incorporating seamlessly into the City’s overall downtown branding campaign.
Submit an application or apply for renewal by filling out the 2022 More to Enjoy application. Space on the signs are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. For questions or more information, please email Cameron Campbell at cjcampbell@greenvillesc.gov.
