Public Hearing on Draft Redistricting Map - Monday, January 9
City Council will hold a public meeting on the redistricting plan during its formal meeting on Monday, January 9 at 5:30 p.m. located at Greenville City Hall (206 S Main Street).
The basic purpose of redistricting is to equalize population among electoral districts when the Census indicates that a city or state’s population has increased or decreased in the last decade. Greenville's population increased 22 percent between 2010 and 2020. The Constitution requires the City to redraw the lines that define the boundaries for the four City Council district seats.
