Road Closure: St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival - Saturday, March 11Road closures along Main Street will take place from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, during the 7th annual Greenville St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival.

Main Street Trash Receptacles for Pedestrian Use Only
This is a friendly reminder to our businesses and delivery services downtown. The City of Greenville trash receptacles placed throughout the Central Business District are solely for pedestrian use only. These trash receptacles may not be used for the disposal of commercial garbage by storekeepers or any other commercial vendor doing businesses within the CBD.
See the International Property Maintenance Code 308.3.2 Containers: The operator of every establishment producing garbage shall provide, and at all times cause to be utilized, approved leakproof containers with close-fitting lids.

Road Closure: Main Street at NOMA Square - Thursday, March 16
Road
closure at 233 N. Main Street from Beattie Place to North Street will take place
on Thursday, March 16, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Drivers traveling in this
area should follow all vehicular detour signs and anticipate traffic delays.
Sidewalks in designated areas will be closed to pedestrian traffic, but detour
routes will be posted.

Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive: March 16 - August 31Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive, presented by Clemson MBA will kick-off the weekend every Thursday night with live music at NOMA Square on Main Street from 5:430 - 8:30 p.m. from March 16 through August 31.
Road Closure Details: Main Street from Beattie Place to North Street will be closed at 3:00 p.m. every Thursday from March 16 to August 31. Breakdown should be completed by 10:00 p.m.

Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays: March 17 - September 29Dance into the weekend with Greenville Heritage FCU Main Street Fridays, presented by Pepsi every Friday night with live music at NOMA Square on Main Street from 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. from March 17 through September 29.
Road Closure Details: Main Street to Beattie Place to North Street will be closed at 3:00 p.m. every Friday from March 17 through September 29. Event breakdown should be completed by 10:30 p.m.

Main Street Sound Returns to Highlight Permitted Street PerformersThe
City relaunched Main Street Sound, a program to highlight the talents of
our local street performers while enhancing the overall downtown experience for
passersby. Main Street Sound will
reserve designated locations along Main Street for permitted street performers
to perform on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. through 10:00 p.m. Performers are only allowed to perform in
1-hour sessions at the designated location, then a new performer will begin at
the top of each hour. The designated locations are One City Plaza, Graham Plaza
and Tate Plaza (at the entrance of Falls Park). The program will run every Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting, through May 28. Apply for street performer permit or provide feedback on our program.

Lane Closure on W Broad Street for Duct Bank Installation On Wednesday, March 1, Duke Energy began installing a duct bank along W Broad Street, between W Washington Street and W McBee Avenue. The majority of work will take place between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Friday. Some Saturday work will also be required, and periodic concrete pours will be done during the daytime between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times, and flaggers will be on-site to guide traffic through the work zone. Weather permitting, the entire project is expected to take three months to complete. The purpose of the project is to improve reliability and increase capacity in the downtown area.
