2023 TD Saturday Market: Season Opener - Saturday, May 6 The TD Saturday
Market presented by Prisma Health will begin the 21st market season on May 6! The weekly farmers market will return to Main Street this Saturday, hosting 75+ vendors, fresh local produce, music and more. The TD Saturday Market will take place every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., from May 6 through October 28 (excluding October 14). Village Launch Market - Saturday, May 6 Village Launch
Market starts this Saturday, May 6 on Burdette Street in The Village of West
Greenville. Village Launch Market will
take place the first Saturday every month from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., May -
August, focusing on celebrating minority and women-owned startups. In addition to local vendors
the Village Launch Market will also feature food trucks, live music and family fun. Market Location: Burdette
Street and Pendleton Street, between the West Greenville Plaza and the Flatiron Building

Reedy River Duck Derby - Saturday, May 6 at Falls Park The
19th Annual Reedy River Duck Derby, organized by the Rotary Club of the Reedy
River Greenville, is scheduled on Saturday, May 6 at Falls Park from 11:00 a.m.

Artisphere: May 12 - 14 (Friday - Sunday)The 19th annual Artisphere festival will be held Friday, May 12, through Sunday, May 14, on South Main Street in downtown Greenville. Artisphere is a three-day celebration of visual and performing arts that includes a free children's craft area (Kidsphere) and Culinary Arts Café, featuring local restaurants. Development Code Revision ReleasedCity staff has released a new, revised draft of the proposed zoning map and development code document. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the revised development code on Monday, May 15 at 4:00 p.m. at the Prisma Health Welcome Center at Unity Park (111 Welborn Street). Those wishing to speak may register online in advance, and registration is available until Noon on Friday, May 12. The Commission will hear from attendees who pre-registered first, before opening the meeting to others who wish to speak. More Parking in the West End Greenville City Council approved the purchase of nearly three acres of land on Augusta Street adjacent to Fluor Field. The property, currently home to the Greenville Transit Authority maintenance facility, will be purchased for $9.7 million, offering more parking in the West End and protected development for the future. Future development will align with the GVL 2040 goals, Downtown Master Plan and the West End Small Area Plan.

City Manager Presents Balanced Budget with No Tax Increase During the City Council workshop held on Monday, April 17, City Manager John McDonough presented a balanced budget with no tax increase and a strong focus on the council priorities of public safety, affordable housing and neighborhoods, recreation & open space, economic development, and mobility. The proposed budget includes significant investments in capital improvements totaling $56 million. The public hearing on the budget is scheduled for May 22, followed by a first reading of the ordinance. A vote on the adoption of the annual operating budget will be June 12.
