Liberty Bridge Closed for Resurfacing Project 

Beginning on Tuesday, May 16, the Liberty Bridge will be closed to allow for routine resurfacing maintenance. The resurfacing project is anticipated to be complete before June 1.  During this time, the bridge will be closed to pedestrian traffic and signs offering an alternate route will be posted for park visitors.

Development Code Revision Released: Public Meeting on Monday, May 15

City staff has released a new, revised draft of the proposed zoning map and development code document.  The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the revised development code on Monday, May 15 at 4:00 p.m. at the Prisma Health Welcome Center at Unity Park (111 Welborn Street). The Commission will hear from attendees who pre-registered first, before opening the meeting to others who wish to speak. Registration is not required to attend, just for individuals wishing to speak.

Downtown Merchant Association - Tuesday, May 16 

Mark your calendars to join the May Downtown Merchant Association meeting on Tuesday, May 16 at 9:00 a.m. at M. Judson Booksellers.  We will be joined by Mary Douglas Hirsch, the City of Greenville - Planning Administrator.  

If you were unable to attend the meeting, view the April meeting notes at your convenience. 

Road Closure: Greenville Greek Festival on May 19-21 (Friday - Sunday) 

Road closures will take place from 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 17 until Sunday, May 21 at 6:00 p.m. during the Greenville Greek Festival.  The event starts on Friday, May 19 and ends on Sunday, May 21. The road closure will be along Elford Street from Academy Street to N Academy Street.    

Road Closure: Mountains to Main Street Half Marathon & 5K - Saturday, May 20 

Road closures will take place from 7:00 a.m. - 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 during the Mountains to Main Street Half Marathon and 5K. For detailed road closure information view, https://www.greenvillesc.gov/calendar.aspx?CID=39
