Public Meeting on Wade Hampton Boulevard Project - Tuesday, June 20Public
comment and feedback needed! Join City officials and staff, along with representatives from
SCDOT and AECOM- an engineering firm- on Tuesday, June 20, from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
at White Oak Baptist Church located at 1805 Wade Hampton Boulevard. Staff, project engineers and representatives will share information about the proposed improvements to the
Wade Hampton Boulevard corridor. While the boulevard provides a key connection between the city and its suburbs, the road creates a barrier between the neighborhoods and the current design does not adequately address the needs for our most vulnerable users of the road: pedestrians and cyclist. The proposed improvements will encourage higher quality economic investment along the boulevard, better serving the surrounding neighborhoods. View more details about the Wade Hampton Boulevard Improvement Project.
