2014-2015: CDBG, HOME, and HOPWA Grant Funded Projects
During the 2014 program year, the City of Greenville’s Community Development Division
utilized its CDBG, HOME and HOPWA dollars to fund activities that were identified in our 2014-2015 Annual Action Plan. The goals, objectives, strategies, and benchmarks for the allocation and implementation of Community Development projects are based on providing the following:
• decent, safe, and affordable housing;
• a suitable living environment; and
• expanded economic opportunities.
The budget and activities of the Community Development Division are guided by a volunteer group of residents and stakeholders from local Special Emphasis neighborhoods. The Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) meets quarterly, and currently has vacancies for several neighborhoods. If you are interested in serving on this board, please contact us at 467-4570 for more information.
