January 2020 Monthly Update

The focus of GVL2040 in January was to answer the question What might change? Using trend information and desired outcomes expressed by the project steering committee, the GVL2040 consultant team developed a series of scenarios for 2020 through 2040 that will be presented and discussed at upcoming steering committee and public meetings.

Based on the feedback they receive, the consultants will select a preferred growth scenario for Greenville that will shape cost and benefit analysis during the spring and the emergence of a draft plan by early summer.

Public Invited to Open House on February 12

The City will host its third open house on Wednesday, February 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the David Hellams Community Center (111 Spartanburg Street).

GVL2040's third open house will focus on how Greenville might change between 2020 and 2040. Participants at this drop-in style meeting will explore Greenville's emerging growth priorities by considering three possible futures, with the goal of developing a preferred growth scenario for the city.
