The City of Greenville is requesting SEALED bids from qualified contractors for the Fairforest Way Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2. The work under this contract will consist of widening approximately 2,550 linear feet of Fairforest Way from Ridge Road (S-435) to Laurens Road (U.S. Hwy. 276). The proposed improvements include widening the road to establish two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane, as well as, additional enhancements to include sidewalks, street lighting and landscaping. The project will consist of traffic control, grading, roadway drainage, stormwater quality improvements, curb and gutter, sidewalk and asphalt paving as more clearly defined in the construction plans and bid documents.
Fairforest Way is owned and maintained by the City. The project is federally-funded through a participation agreement with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and has a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Contract Goal of 15% that the contractor MUST meet.
A Certified Check, Cashier’s Check or Bid Bond in the amount of FIVE PERCENT (5%) of the bid made payable to the City of Greenville will be required to accompany each bid. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required of the successful bidder after acceptance of offer by the City.
